Criminal Defense

We provide diligent criminal defense representation in a wide range of misdemeanor and felony matters.  As active judges and former prosecutors in a District Attorney's office, our lawyers have an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system.  We know the impact a criminal conviction can have on you and your family, and will work tirelessly to obtain the best possible result in your case, be it an acquittal, reduced charges, or diminished penalties.

Juvenile Defense

Our criminal defense experience also extends to the juvenile justice system.  A delinquency charge can have serious consequences, and we work closely with parents whose children have been charged with criminal activities.  We can also work to ensure that the records are sealed.

Family Law

We assist clients with every aspect of family law proceedings, including divorce as well as property division, child custody and support, spousal maintenance, name changes, adoptions, matters involving application and violation of protective orders, and post-divorce modifications.  Our goal is to help you resolve your case as quickly, cost-effectively, and amicably as possible.  For more information about our work in this area of law, please see the family law overview and our family law frequently asked questions page.

Personal Injury & Wrongful Death

Our personal injury practice focuses largely on handling cases arising from motor vehicle accidents, including those involving cars, automobiles, motorcycles, and commercial trucks.  In addition to being effective negotiators when dealing with insurance companies, we have extensive trial experience and will never hesitate to take a claim to court if that is what is necessary to help you obtain the maximum recovery to which you are entitled.  We also have a particular wealth of experience handling toxic tort cases involving gas drilling and compression.

Estate Planning & Probate

A comprehensive estate plan often includes several documents, such as revocable living trust, pour-over will, financial power of attorney, a living will (also known as a Directive to Physicians), and a medical power of attorney.  We work closely with you to examine your estate planning goals and design and implement a tax-sensitive, comprehensive plan that will best meet your needs and the needs of your family.  If you are an estate representative, we can assist in the probate administration process, which is the legal process of going to court to settle a person's estate after he or she has passed away.  We also assist trustees with fulfilling their duties and obligations during the trust administration process.
